The result was the <strong>Rolex Submariner<\/strong>, launched in 1953.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a water resistance of up to 100 metres in models 6204 and 6205, the Submariner was one of the first automatic watches designed to withstand prolonged and deep dives. From its creation, the Submariner has incorporated features that have become its hallmarks, including a rotating bezel with graduations to measure dive time, a high-visibility black dial, easily recognisable Mercedes hands and an Oyster case that ensures water resistance. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conceived with efficiency in mind, this design would go on to become the benchmark for its category and inspire generations of diving watches to come. Having remained virtually unchanged for 70 years, it is a testament to the perfect balance it strikes between function and aesthetics. In fact, it became world-famous in 1962 thanks to James Bond: Sean Connery wore a Rolex Submariner ref.   6538. This marked the start of the watch&#8217;s legendary association with masculine elegance.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worn by James Bond in several films, it has achieved legendary status as both a means of survival and a symbol of style.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Buying a vintage Rolex Submariner<\/h2>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Rolex Submariner is now a highly sought-after collector\u2019s item.
