After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Bordeaux Montaigne University and in Art History from the Sorbonne, Elio Guerin joined the Hôtel Drouot auction house in 2017.

    Head of the Watchmaking Department
    Elio was Head of the Watchmaking Department which he helped develop and promote. In this role, he organised unique and highly specialised auctions in Paris. Alongside interior designer Tristan Auer, he organised the sale of a collection of watches inspired by Commander Cousteau, including a piece belonging to one of his divers which sold for €56,000. He was also behind several high-profile auctions, in particular, the Rolex Submariner 5514, which sold for €83,000.

    Elio joined the Watchmaking Department of the Aguttes auction house as a watch specialist. At the “La mesure des Mondes” auction, an exceptional Louis Duchêne automaton pocket watch sold for €119,000.

    As Director of the Watch Sales Department, Elio expanded its activity through a range of online and in-person auctions. A rare steel Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 96 was sold for over €60,000.
